You will be completing a project where another coder has left off.
Please view he website fivestarcord.com to see what you will be working with.
Here are he known issues that need to be completed:
On the home page we need to be able to easily change the images in the "scrolling showcase" at the top which is currently showing furniture. We also need to be able to turn this on and off easily. So some coding will need to be done for this to add this function to the admin side of the cart.
If you look under Paracord> Solid Colors> you'll see a product there which you can see we have added a list of variations (colors in this case) which the customer is to select using radial buttons. Problem #1 - This lay out needs to be changed. We think that a layout similar to http://fsquaredclothing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1 will work a bit better for us and present a better color chart for the customer to view. Problem though with the fsquareclothing site is if you view it in IE it renders fine, however in other browsers it does not and it is completely screwed up in a mobile phone. So this will need to be addressed. Our site MUST render correctly on all major browsers and mobile devises such as phones and pads/tablets.
Problem #2 - We need to let the customer know how much of each color (variation/attribute) is available prior to them placing it into their cart. So stock by attribution/variation is needed. Currently the customer would have to select the color and enter in the desired qty and then add it to the cart. Only at that point would the customer find out if they had ordered more than is available and then would have to start adjusting numbers in the cart till they worked out what the stock qty is available. We would like for the customer to know up front the available amount prior to adding to the cart. This just cuts down hassle for the customer and makes a quicker shopping experience for them. From what I can gather there is no direct plug-in for zencart that would correct this. However you may be able to use code from a OSC module which some tweaks with to it. Ajax may also have to be used.
If you view the front page of our website you'll notice that in your browsers tab it says "home" instead of the our Company name. This needs to be corrected. All other pages need to checked to make sure that they render correctly on their tabs as well.
There may and most likely will be some other bugs that we come across when setting everything up and doing final testing. As with any project, any major ones we understand there may be more of a cost, however small fixes we don't expect to have to pay for each minor repair or tweak to the site.
Once everything is up and running you will be expected to fully test the site to make sure it is working correctly and rendering correctly across multiple web browsing platforms.
For reference our S&H for the USA (includes FPO and APO) is 2.99 Flat Rate - they will not be allowed to choose a shipping method. The 2.99 just needs to be added automatically at checkout as the shipping cost.
For international S&H is based on the weight of the product and their locations. A USPS module has been installed. International customers will be given the choice of either 1st class mail or priority mail as their shipping options.
We will also supply a list of countries we ship to, so that you can adjust this for us at time of final setup and testing.
you need to be fluent in English and have a good understanding of working with this type of shopping cart. Any questions please ask them prior to placing your bid.
This isn't going to be a complex project and should only take a few days to complete.
