    Fixed

    $250-$750 USD

Project Description:

I am the author of popular blog (2000+ subscribers) hosted on blogger.com [1]. I need to migrate my blog to my own site [2], including all posts and comments. All new posts will be on this new blog, and it must look very clean and professional. My site's CMS is Drupal (version 5.1, I believe), so the blog should use the Drupal blog module. Strong preference will be given to developers with blog module experience.

I'd like to get the project finished within 2-4 weeks.

Specifics:

o Set up Drupal-based blogging (Drupal blog module) on my site.

o Migrate all posts, comments, and tags from blogger.com to new blog, with proof of success.

o Update all old blogger.com posts (~180 of them) to point to equivalent on new blog.

o Configure new blog appearance to match rest of my site.

o Set up RSS feed. (Expertise required re: best approach to subscriptions and tracking, e.g., one FeedBurner feed.)

o Create sidebar sections to match blogger.com ones, including author profile (picture, bio), links (LinkedIn, contact info), link for email-based subscriptions, popular posts (manually-edited), and 'recent posts' (automatic).

    Dear Matthew Cornell,

My name is Sudheer. I am pleased to meet you. I run a small software services business based in Bangalore, India. We have experience and expertise in deploying cutting edge technology solutions using the LAMP(Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack. We have also build sites on Drupal CMS. I am an active member in the Drupal community. I contribute to Drupal documentation and forums.

There are many ways of importing from Blogger to Drupal. With the old Drupal 4.7 it was convenient to import using the Aggregator 2 module. There are also few Python scripts that are freely available on the Internet that does the importing job. I will first test the import on our development server and show you the results. Once you feel the migrated site acceptable, I will reproduce the same on your hosting server. I will also write a new Drupal theme to match your current site.

Let me know if you have any questions for me.

    Regards,
    Sudheer
