I am working on a more defined list of details but what I am wanting is a program that will allow a host computer to connect to another remotely, in a manner similar to VNC or teamviewer. Preferably I would like the host computer to only require either a webkit/html5 browser or common remote application to function (so it will work on windows, linux or mac). A browser would be best so an emplyee can choose to use Chrome or Firefox, rekonq, Safari.. whatever. On the computer being connected to, it should be a mac, linux or windows as well.
The idea in general would be, customer goes to my website, enters their details and downloads a free small program. When they install it should start up with the computer and when they want me, or another tech, to connect, it will check the payment database to see if they have a current subscription and if so, place them in a queue to await the next tech to come on. If not, it should direct them to a website first to enter and pay, which then upon completion the program should see the payment in the database and again, place them in queue. When the tech connects there should be that techs number written to the database and whether it was completed or not (they mark it and customer will get a message from the program at the end to verify). This is so they employee will get paid and to what customer they completed work for.
This is for general support services.. high speed connections to play video at full speed or something unique like that is not required. SSL would be needed.
Hopefully that all makes sense but if not, please feel free to email me for details. And again if there its something that can be mostly implemented with some gpl software already and just needs enhancements, Im fine with that. I will be doing a kickstarter project for this as well, but I need to know costs to start with.
