I have many wordpress blogs (hundreds) and lots of original articles written for them that at present are done but not posted ... (thousands)
... they are all very typical in terms of length and format (ie prepared as blog posts / articles for website - a few are as little as 300 words but most are 500-700, with another smaller % at 1000 approx words).
as i have discovered over time, getting a pile of articles and actually publishing them as properly formatted (for both seo and readability) - while each one doesnt take long it is a big task for me to handle along with the hundreds of other things i manage and do - i need to smooth out the process by finding someone who can 'fill in the gap' in the workflow here... ideally you know wordpress posting and the basic but crucial standard steps needed to make posts properly formatted.
If you do i may get you to do actual posting for me on the sites - with potential for ongoing long term work... but for this specific gig the actual posting isnt for sure needed - though i will consider it a bonus if you are experienced with this and could possibly do that too (with these or in future)
basically what i need EXACTLY includes:
1) i'll send you zip of some doc format files and some plain text depending where the content was written.
2) i need you to go through each one and add in - either in HTML or in MARKDOWN (or related markup syntax convertible easily to html post) ... either is fine.
3) The most crucial things involve making sure spacing is good for easy readability (ie short paragraphs, space between subheaders, lists etc in posts) for on screen reading... which requires your ability to make judgement calls on the way they were provided and tweak them, probably break up some paragraphs etc.
4) you need to set a first subheader with H2 tags and other at least (typically) one other - often 2-3 others - with H3 and occassionally H4 headers - and make sure the Main title is on first line of final txt file with a space following then content starting on line 3 (for smooth loading into scheduler i use)
5) Also mixed placement of bullet lists with proper formatting tags, strong/bold and other basic formatting... block quotes where appropriate etc
6) The topic of all of these is - ecigarettes - and i will provide you with online cloud storage location and guide to hundreds of mixed images applicable to the articles. As it is specific topic you wont get it right every time and i dont expect it, but i will fix odd issues... basically i need you to select minimum of one image to go with each, insert it with ALT text and url saved to image which i will then set as featured image in wordpress
Depending on experience each post is around a 10 minute job to do well, especially as you get into routine is not complex but needs to be done well and consistently
This bid is for a first set of 250 mixed articles as described... if you happen to be skilled with writing/editing that is also a bonus and consideration for higher price - the quality varies a lot depending on which sites material is being posted on, but for most having minor edits to fix typos or minor (not rewriting) grammar corrections etc. NOT REQUIRED but if you can offer that too and have experience with similar please do note it.
Also please note realistically how much time you have available weekly, and estimations on how long you expect first batch to take - ideally i will award to someone who can get started right away and finish very quickly... but overall i am definitely looking for ongoing help with this task so if you are able to potentially commit to more ongoing work if it goes ok thats a plus too... either way please do let me know.
