Good day - we have a website called xyz.com that is a WP site with MySQL backend running on CentOS. Also using Kloxo as admin panel (this is not a killer to implement on failover side). What I am wanting to acheive is something similar to this - http://blog.gingerlime.com/2012/webfaction-fail-over/
Basically, I am wanting to create a secondary site, and only failover over to the secondary site in case if primary goes down. I am open to the cheapest alternatives available - VPS, DNSMadeEasy.com etc.
Secondary site to be housed in U.S.A. (synced to Primary Site - so if change is made, made to secondary as well)
Only failover if Primary site (which will always be avaialble unless of outage, down time, etc).
Timer to say if primary site is not available for 2 mins to failover.
Notification of failover
Notification of primary site back up
Most of all - SECURITY!!!
This is a small site
I think that this will be a small task for someone with WP expericence. Let me know your thoughts.
