Project Description:
We have a wordpress website which is currently in maintenance mode. The domain is: www.finlaysjoint.com.au

We are having what appears to be a conflict between the YAK cart plugin and jQuery that is used in the custom theme. When we activate the YAK plugin, the homepage slider, Drop down menus, sidebar modules do not work. YAK uses the prototype.js library.

We have been told that it is as a result of jquery using the $ symbol to reference the jquery library and that a noconflict code should be used to resolve it. This is beyond us as how to implement.

whatever changes are made should be upgrade proof. ie If wordpress is upgraded it still works. If the plugin require modification, we would need to know in order to make sure we dont upgrade that and lose the fix.
