Project Description:
Wordpress replacement for www.3biz.co.uk - including a full redesign
IMPORTANT NOTE. If you'd like to bid on this project, please supply me with THREE samples of the best Wordpress themed websites that you've done and a quick sentence as to why you'd be perfect to do this. Please don't send me the generic "welcome to our company" emails with 100s of website addresses...
This should mostly be done by using an off-the-shelf Wordpress template.
Tasks involved:-
1. Finding the most suitable template for promoting the business (based on final parameters below);
2. Identifying any plugins that would need to be added other than those already included in the template;
3. Graphical modification to the template to make it more unique;
4. Creating sample pages that closely fit my needs.
Final Website
3biz is an online marketing company ... we create bespoke eNewsletters as well as our own regular business-to-business eNewsletters.
For the new website, I would like:-
MAIN PAGE / NEWS
Top left should be the company logo. To the right, our contact information (address/email/telephone).
Below that, tabs for the different sections of the website ... News | About Us | Our Services | Portfolio | Contact ...
Below that, a rotating header featuring an image (approx 400x300 pixels) and text to the right of the image... 4-5 of these headers will typically be used. Preferably I'd like this to be easily extensible - ie. if I want 10 headers, it should also be possible.
Below that, a paragraph briefly describing the company, following by several news stories... To the right should be a column with several features - a "sign up" text box and button to sign up for 3biz news... below this box, a series of buttons/banners... (to be decided)
ABOUT US
Simple page with company information. A description of the company at the top, including a picture of our office.
Below that, a "staff" tabbed part. This should be able to include details on up to 6 staff members. Tabs should be similar to Google Chrome but I want the transition to be "instant" (ie. the page shouldn't reload). For each staff member there should be a large portrait photo on the left and details on the right.
OUR SERVICES
Again use the same tabbed interface as the ABOUT US page.
PORTFOLIO
Same again - though actually I'd quite like to have the possibility of many portfolio items to be included. For each portfolio item I want to be able to include 3-4 pictures, a "brief" (description of what the client required), a "what we did" section and a "testimonial" (small quote from someone - included within smart quotes such as to stand out from the main content).
CONTACT US
This should be an online contact us form as well as our address, Google Maps pic (clickable through to the google website), telephone, email address, etc... preferably this should be in the same tabbed style as the other pages - possibly having the form as one tab, address/email/telephone as another and then Google Map as a third tab...?
