Project Description:
We are interested in the feasibility of building a patent data search engine on Amazon Web Services using Apache Solr. The purpose of this project is to build a small scale setup of Apache Solr on Amazon with a small amount of data, for testing and learning purposes. You will be provided access to any Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, etc.) under our account that you feel are necessary to complete the project.
The deliverable will be a description of all the steps you took to set up the installation, and any problems encountered along the way. Instructions on accessing the patent data will be provided upon acceptance.
