Project Description:
I have a splashpage on my website (www.venueart.com) that takes a while to load and there is a black screen for too long. I would like to place a preloader that loads immediately (before the splashpage.swf) to let people know that something is coming up.
The preloader needs to be similar to the one in the picture attached.
A simple bar that moves across but with the text “LOADING” in front of the numbers and also to be above the bar.
The preloader should not affect the display of splashpage.swf in any way, ie no distortion or stretching, as I have had problems with this before. The picture must remain crisp and in detail with particular care for the VenueArt logo.
The preloader should only appear once to say the splashpage is loading and never again (or unless you reload the page).
The splashpage.swf is made in Flash CS5 and uses a component called Slideshowpro for Flash (www.slideshowpro.net) with the images that the slideshow draws from are hosted by Slideshow Director. It would be beneficial if you are familiar with it.
I would like to be given detailed instructions on how the preloader works in case I have to make any changes to either the splashpage.swf or the preloader itself in the future.
It would be good to be able to talk on skype or other messenger service for ease of communication.
I would like to be able to establish a working relationship with the flash developer as I often need things done and would prefer to work with the same person as they would already know how the site works.
