A student organization at a major US institution wants to change the look and feel of their student website. The school uses a CampusGroups platform to manage all of its student organizations. We need someone to augment the HTML on each page to improve the graphics and usability of the site. In addition, we need to significantly add to the existing template blog format to make it more visually appealing for users. CampusGroups is a sort of CMS that enables schools with student organizations to manage the organizations year-after-year as students leave. Modifying pages on student org sites is simple, and a developer is not needed to do revisions/modifications. Google “CampusGroups” for more information.
The attached powerpoint has a mock-up / wireframe for what we want the website to look like. Our current website can be found by searching Google for “"kellogg africa business club". Please review the comments in the powerpoint, especially the blog portion to get a sense of what we need components on the site to do.
Our plan is to create a limited access user on our school’s Campusgroups system so that you can go in and make changes. If chosen for this project, we will give you limited access to look at the system and determine if what we want to build is possible WITHOUT changing the actual code of campusgroups (front-end, HTML changes only). We need the system to work seamlessly with CampusGroups so that students in the future can also use the platform.
Lastly, we are looking to standardize this process for other student groups. We want you to record your changes in a way that we can share with others later. We can discuss this further if your bid is selected, but it would be a good chance for you and your team to get business from other student organizations at business schools across the country.
We need the works completed in 2-3 weeks from project start and hope to get started by 26 November.
Note: Graphics work may also be needed, and we are considering designing a new logo or banner for the website.
