Project Description:
I am looking for someone to create fun and creative video clips to accompany some of my songs and then to create an artist website where these can be hosted. Video clips would also be posted on YouTube and used to present songs to potential music publishers.I have been writing recording songs for over 30 years and have a good number of songs in a variety of styles requiring imaginative and relevant creative imagery to illustrate them. Some are comedy, some ballads, some rock etc. Over 100 of my songs are currently hosted on a popular free access website as audio files only for free download.
I do not want to be too prescriptive about style - it could be anything - graphic - cartoon - line art - photo series - video - mixed media - stop motion - as long as the clips are entertaining and the content relates to the lyrics successfully. In some cases it would work to follow a storyline closely. Most songs are between 4 and 6 minutes in length. I would start with commissioning work on 2 songs to see the quality and imagination in the work - and work out a price per song accordingly. If the work is good I would extend it to more. I am aiming to commission clips for 12 songs initially in this project, and there are many more in my back catalog that I am also considering.
So - there are two sides to this project:
1. creating video clips for existing audio recordings
2. creating an attractive artist website
