Very simple project but you must have experience with Expressions, Query, Forms & Report design.

I already created table you just need to write expressions for validations and reports.

As mentioned before, this Access 2007 database is for a mock same-day courier company.



I have included a rough guide db so far with some customer/courier details included (all mock details) to save you some time.



Specifications:



Table for customers – Name, contact numbers, full address, notes, email address and a yes/no if they are a “volume” customer (in which case they get a fixed % discount. Should have a form for inputting/editing data entries



Table for couriers (employees) – Name, mobile number, the range they can travel (i.e. they can do a job which is 10km), the vehicle they have and if they are available (again, simple yes/no). Should have a form for inputting/editing data entries



A table for globals (pricing?) – The % discount volume users get on pricing, the min charge per delivery, the price per KG (up to a maximum price eg £5) and the price per KM)



A Table for creating jobs – Customer name (linked from customer table), pick up address, delivery address, approx distance of delivery, weight of package, manual selection of courier (should list available couriers, show couriers who’s range is within the approx distance and choose courier, price of the job (calculated from globals table taking into account the price per kg (up to the max price), volume discount if applicable, price per km (on top of price per kg) and it should be time/date stamped once put into database. There should also be a simple yes/no to state if the delivery has been completed. This also needs a form for inputting/editing data entries.



Then there should be reports generated for:



All outstanding deliveries (including job details)

All completed deliveries (including job details)

All completed deliveries by courier (so a certain courier can be selected, and a report shown for all their deliveries only (including total km travelled)
