Project Description:

My company needs a personal virtual assistant who can speak and write in fluent English. He/She will need to able to complete the following tasks on a regular/weekly basis:

• Build contact lists (manual + cut and paste to Excel) from various web sites
• Research the web or phone companies to obtain/verify contact information
• Search for articles related to the I.T. / Marketing service we provide
• Re-write articles to pass copyscape testing
• Other administrative work as assigned

The position will initially provide a guaranteed 20 hours per week with a potential increase to 40 hours if work meets requirements. The person considered for these services must have extensive experience, be reliable and will need to be available to correspond through chat, email or phone at least a day (during Eastern Standard Time: GMT-5). A single individual is required to complete all work. We're not interested in working with a team. This project may be canceled at any time if we are dissatisfied with the services provided. We are very fair and honest to all of our workers and expect the same in return.

This opportunity is for a self-employed contractor who will supply their own office, computer, telephone and other things required to perform these duties. The contractor will be paid weekly, one week in arrears, upon submitting a time sheet listing hours worked by task and the completed work. This is not an offer for full or part-time employment with our company.

I am an experienced administrative assistant, copyeditor, proofreader, typesetter, and designer, in addition to having many years of experience in an office setting (data entry, accounts payable/receivable, spreadsheets, billing, etc.). My ex-husband and I have been running our own administrative, graphic design, and publishing business, Vinci-Designs & Publishing, since 2005. For the past 4 years, I have been freelance copyediting and proofreading for Idea Group Publishing, Pinnacle Health Care, University Press, and many others. I have also assisted several companies doing administrative tasks, proofreading, data entry, billing, etc. I am currently working part-time for an NFL sports writer as a personal assistant researching information and photos for articles, setting up interviews, transcribing interviews, and uploading articles to online sites and blogs. Due to the current economic downturn, my workflow with our business has slowed down considerably. I am looking to almost dissolve our business and find work elsewhere.
