Project Description:
I'm looking for a very simple program (preferabily in JAVA) that can interact with most of the webcams available.
Basically it should allow the user to configure his webcam (like in MSN, where the cam is already installed in the OS and the user only chooses it), and it should have a button where it takes a picture and stores it in a configurable location.
An example of the functional behaviour would be:
- Double-click on the application icon. A window pops-up.
- In the window there is a configuration section, where it will be possible to configure the system web cam (like in MSN menseger). This section can have a small screen so the user can test if the camera is working properly. There is also a section where its possible to define the path where the pictures will be saved.
- In the window there is also a "take picture" button. When pressing this button, a picture is taken from the webcam and is stored in the path where it was defined. The filename should include the date and time when it was taken. It should be possible to take up to 100 pictures.
Any doubt, just contact me through this site.
Thank you,
