Have you ever used Darwin Streaming Server (DSS) from Apple? It's a free, open-source media server that runs on Macintosh/UNIX/MacOS/BSD. I've installed it for many clients, including for one company that provides streaming media to cell phones and other mobile devices.

if windows 2003 server r2 is installed on your hardware, and video files for broadcasting are ready - just put windows 2003 install cd to the cd(dvd)rom. it will take 20 minutes to install mms (via http if you need) and 2 hours to test it . if you need linux - choose any distrib of linux and give me access to internet via it (or via proxy), i'll set up everything by myself (but it will be real media format). audio broadcasting via shoutcast - for free as bonus. any additional (flash) should be discussed with you. less
