I have extensive knowledge on Visual Programming, Graph (i.e., multi-dimensional data) Grammars, and their Context-Free and Context-Sensitive parsing. My PhD research is on the "first ever" reinforcing learner for the Visual Programming domain. The project unifies a Context-Sensitive Graph Grammar design and parsing system with a Context-Free Graph Grammar Induction system, extends the systems with novel features, and is extremely flexible to handle data across multiple disciplines. In addition, the induction engine is being extended to expose general Context-Sensitive features within the data.
My professional experience extends into System Architecture, Programming with a variety of languages including C++ and Java under Windows and Linux, experience with MySQL and PHP, leading the design and implementation of engineering systems, and a full suite of other skills.
I can perform contract work until my security clearance investigation is completed for another job (2-6+ months).

Yes, there is a doctor in the house - here I am! The project sounds both interesting and suitable to my background, so I decided to have bid a go. Please note, though, that I can only work on the project during evenings and weekends. This is because during weekdays I work as an industrial mathematician in a local engineering company.
Anyway, I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics ("Modelling and Control of Dynamical Systems"). In addition to that, I have an M.Sc. degree in Information Technology, which makes me proficient in the programming environments applicable to the project (mainly Matlab and C++ I believe).
I am very familiar with the theory and methods of computational statistics (e.g. Markov models), as well as artificial intelligence (e.g. neuro-fuzzy systems, genetic algorithms etc) and pattern recognition (e.g. FFT, wavelets and other spectral methods). While I have studied these subjects, I have also developed algorithms for an automated fingerprint recognition system in a national project. This work was presented in a signal processing conference some years ago. Altogether I have published about 15 scientific journal/conference articles on various topics, so technical writing and communication in English will not be a problem at all.
