Specs:
Need a kiosk application framework written in C#.
Framework
Note that I need a framework (so that I can instantiate more windows of any variety that I need). Design needs to have features encapsulated in separate classes.
Features/Functionality
Need a main window, upon clicking a button it needs to goto a second window
Second window
Should have 2 input areas for text ( say username, password)
The input are will need a keyboard (letters, numbers, shift button for capital letter etc)
The images for the keys should be loaded from a directory ( like a.gif..where I can replace them)
We will be using another graphics person, so you CAN use any image (ugly is OK)
When password is entered, the text should be "*" out.
Clicking a small button will present a third window
Third window
The third window will print username and password on page
It will immediately pop a windows asking to confirm (OK button)
Fourth Window
Says thank you in middle of screen.
MoreTime Option
If user is on screen 2 and exceeds X seconds since last key pressed (note last key pressed, not merely X seconds on screen), a dialog should popup asking if user needs more time. If not answered in further Y seconds, the screen should revert to first screen.
If user is on screen 3 and exceeds X seconds to press OK, same
The moretime option should NOT be present on 4rth page.
ScreenSaver
Feature so that if we are main page or other page
Configuration
Values for timers etc need to be stored in an XML file and read upon startup into variables


Questions:
1) What is your previous experience in such kiosk applications?
2) We want to employ another team for graphics work. What format do you suggest the graphics be made? How do you recommend integrating graphics into C#?
3) Can you think of other features for framework? How do you recommend error handling?
4) Will you be available for future work?
5) Please write the proposal with the first word as success. All generic proposals will be discarded.
6) Please specific flat rate for effort and also your hourly rate (please be realistic as possible)

Hi. I have some experience in building kiosk applications. For details you can see my CV in PM. According to your project: 1. I'm developed kiosk software using .NET+Flash (for nice graphics: transparency, appearing/disappearing, etc) that charges users card with money. Also can develop any electronic part of kiosk if needed. 2. In previous project I'm used Flash (AS3) to get really cool graphics. I think you does not needed another team (however, design is not my main job) 3. First of all I think will go to client/server arch. It one of features. For error handling... I'm use my own libs, which can write full error information into logs file, send it over UDP to server, send it by email automatically or by prompting with default email client. 4. yes. 5. Success to me is obtaining or exceeding your goals. 6. By default my hourly rate 10$. We can discuss on it. less

I have created a Google pisca application for a previous client even though access to the project is classified I still have the knowledge to built a project like yours using what i have learn. 2) We want to employ another team for graphics work. What format do you suggest the graphics be made? How do you recommend integrating graphics into C#? Since it seems that you are looking to use Wpf which is for making desktop applications using C3 you would need for best quality expression design, ,but teams that use this software are rare so if you can't find a expression design team adobe illustrator would be a good way of creating I would also say you ask the team to slice all the components into different files for you. 3) Can you think of other features for framework? How do you recommend error handling? I go from all your ideas, but if i come up with anything that you would might need i will inform you before hand. 4) Will you be available for future work? It would be a pleasure to work with repeat clients because my work depends upon return clients and references. 5) Please write the proposal with the first word as success. All generic proposals will be discarded. Success is a blend of creativity and intuition. Software design for a client is not bread from the most knowledgeable client not to say knowledge is not important, but the need for persistence is much important, and that is what i am offering you. I am offering a blender of experience and persistence because i know that without clients like you my job would not be able to survive. 6) Please specific flat rate for effort and also your hourly rate (please be realistic as possible) my hourly rate is usually $10, but in order to get my project at a hourly rating i recommend using odesk which is a freelance website that monitors project hourly in case something goes wrong you can just message me at cwebdesign .
