Project Description:
I need to model a fuel cell-lead acid battery hybrid boat system using SIMULINK. Ive uploaded a sample SIMULINK demo which you can take reference with. The system that i want is similar to that but i do NOT want you to copy the entire system. I would need you to do up an entire new system. Attached is also a Powerpoint slide which shows what i would require for the project. It briefly explains the whole system.
There are 3 main subsystem; Energy Management System, Electrical Subsystem, Vehicle Dynamic
You can take a look at the demo [power_FCV_powertrain.mdl] in the SIMULINK demo library.
The specs of the Fuel Cell stack, Lead Acid Battery and DC motor which is in the Electrical Subsystem are as below
Electrical Subsystem
Fuel Cell Stack 1kW,24Vdc (can use the predefined model in simulink)
Lead Acid Batteries: 4 x 12Vdc Lead Acid Batteries (can use the predefined model in simulink)
Motor: 2HP, 48Vdc (you would need to model this)
Energy Management System
this can follow the one in the [power_FCV_powertrain.mdl] example. the EMS is to monitor the fuel cell and battery charging, power level.
Vehicle Dynamic
I would require you to model a simple dynamics of a boat which would output its speed whenever there is a change in the throttle level.
I would also require you to document the project to explain why and what you have done so that i can better understand the model that you've done. simply said, you should include a simple 'user's manual' too.
