Project Description:

Currently we have an invoice and reporting system using Access 2000, we import a delimited text file, that is in a sequential order, which populates the database that the queries pull from. Currently Access is setup to work on a text file layout of the current delimited text file (sequential order is important), we now have two new text files, which need to be merged and put into the same delimited format as the older file in order to use our current Access program.

If you cannot merge the text files then need the Access program to be altered to use the old layout and configured to accept the two new delimited text files in order to populate the same reports.
Must have proven background in Access, need this done ASAP 2-3 day timeframe.

    We can do the required modification in existing Ms-Access or merge the new two text file. Please send us the new file format and existing access DB.

    Do you want to say that the format and/or number of columns in these 2 new text files is different from the text file which you are currently being imported. Lets say your Access program works perfectly when there are, say, 12 columns in text file in predefined sequence. Now you have 2 new text files which have, say. 15 columns in a different order. Now, you want to remove 3 columns and arrange the order of remaining columns to match that of original text file. Have I followed?

    Please provide exact specifications. It will be beneficial if you load sample of original text file as well as 2 new text files or a portion of it.
