Project Description:

We are a Bangalore-based consulting firm specializing in the use of scientific, quantitative techniques for performance engineering and diagnosis of IT systems - products and applications. We are looking for seasoned IT pros (technical OR business development pros) to generate opportunities for us in the USA/UK/Western Europe. Our target audience is senior IT decision-makers (Director/VP/CIO level).

You would operate by establishing contact with senior IT decision-makers at the Director/VP/CIO level who you know have an ongoing struggle with the performance of their applications and systems (a common scenario and a huge opportunity if you know anything about IT), and motivate them to connect with us via email or a call. Once we connect, we can take over much of the actual selling.

This specific posting is intended for a 1-month contract. When you bid, please indicate what you will charge for 1 month of referral/business development work. We DO offer a commission in addition to the monthly fee, which to give you an indication, will be $2000 for each WEEK's worth of consulting work that results from the efforts you put in during the contract period of 1 month (even if the SoW is signed later).

When you write to me, please indicate clearly what insight or knowledge you have about performance engineering in the context of IT systems. Please state, for example:
- Why you think capacity planning is such a great challenge for most IT organizations;
- Why you think performance-tested applications often fail to perform after deployment;

Additionally, please strive to explain how you believe your effort will pay for itself so that we are not left with a dead investment at the end of our contract.

Note 1: Please DO attempt to answer the two questions raised in the above description - failure to pen any answer (which need not be technically impeccable) will probably cause me to reject your bid outright.
Note 2: I am looking primarily for candidates based in USA/UK/Western Europe. If you are outside these geographies, please answer the following question: "How will you establish contact with senior IT decision-makers as described above if you are NOT located in these geographies?"
