Project Description:

I am looking for a company that can develop a game using the Unity 3d engine, and any socket server (like SmartFox). This game will be played in the browser. The game can be done using the top down or isometric view.

In terms of the concept and setting, we are looking at fantasy mideval (swords, bows, etc). The game would be played on a large TILE based map.

Towns would be positioned at various locations. Towns will initialy just be 2d images with spots to interact with NPCS.

Fights with npcs and with other players will utilize the 3D aspect of unity. Fights will play out similar to the Final Fantasy series, which will require scripting in either C# of JavaScript. Players will have a list of attacks and abilities that they will select and use. Once an ability or attack is selected, the player's Avatar would exectute the required animation as done in (.mb or .ma), (.c4d) or .fbx and imported into Unity.

Avatar manipulation in unity is required. To start we would like 5 armor sets. 2 sets of swords, shields, bow, and staff. When equiped, the avatar would need to show this change. In addition, we would like some variations for the players avatar (male, female, 1 race for now, a few face models, hair models, and textures for skin and hair contrast).

I will provide game concept, logic, and rules. I am capable of also getting my hads dirty on the client side as I am familiar with oop. I expect no more than 2,000 players on at any given time, however the game must be scalable. If it is a success there are already expansions planned. We are also looking for those interested in cost sharing, sponsoring, or volunteering (especialy those with 3d modeling and animation backgrounds).

What is expected:

*Knowledge of .Net, MySQL and SQL for customization of a socket server. We are open to recommendations like SmartFoxServer or DarkStar, etc.
*Knowledge of JavaScript or Unity 3d API for scripting of the animations.
*Knowlege of 3d program(s) that work with Unity like Maya or Cinema 4d.
*Ability to create clean smooth animations and transitions.
*For your company to work on future updates, expansions and bug fixes.

Plusses:

*Prior game design with a launched title.
*Prior experience with Unity 3D is a huge bonus.
*Knowledge of the RPG or MMORPG genre.

Please PM me your company's site, portfolio, and realistic bid with time frame. I will provide examples illustrating what I am looking for, as well as more specific information.

Skills required:

.NET, Game Design, Java, Javascript, MMORPG
