We are interested in developing, addressable fire alarm panel.Person or company who have expereince in the same product may bid for the same. It will be a time bound project .Designer expereince in Cortex M3 microcontroller will be preferred.We expect you to first tell us what all you can design and wht you know of Fire Panel standards. Both the Bid and Time are space fillers. The complexity of the system depends on the systems size and how much automation and different type of addressable sensors, actuators we have to place. I have designed addressable security + fire alarm control using both wire and wireless networking,as per my experience though the systems are scalable still routing communication interference needs special solutions,this takes time and for a large system --site survey. I am using ARM for about 9 years, Cortex for more than 4 years and M3 for last 1 year from ST,Luminaries and NXP systems. Regards adipdutt  less

Our company has extensive knowledge in fire alarm panel design. We have designed panels for Detector Electronics which had to conform to EN54 and under go UL testing which was passed. We have knowledge or analog and addressable sensors using different protocols. We would suggest a using a boot loader in the panel so the installation engineer can reflash the firmware to use different protocols if required. We are aware the EN54 standard is comprehensive and not easy to pass first time. We would start the project by clarifying your design requirements and drawing up a project plan with milestones. The bid price would include full electronics design, firmware and user interface. Tooling for an enclosure could be designed at an extra cost. Once the design is complete and you have an enclosure built you would need to submit it to a test house, we use one in the UK called BRE. The bid price also includes 3 trys modifications / tweaks to get the design to pass all requirements an on-site visit to the test lab could be arranged if required. We have good knowledge of ARM processors, however this application can easily be handled in a lower spec processor such as the AVR Mega 128. We realise our bid is high, however we also realise there is a lot of work involved in getting a fire panel to pass all requirements. less
