  I forgot one thing.
  
  Right now the site is only able to accept payments using paypal. Again I don't know how this is used or configured correctly so I haven't tested it.
  
  For this website I need an interface with Chinese payment system Alipay. It's supposed to be a clone of paypal but of course I don't know their API. I am sure there are people out there who have ready to use Alipay interfaces. This payment system has hundreds of millions of users all over China and is more popular than paypal will ever be so there should be something available for use.

  Here are some more clarifications on this project. I apologize for letting my obvious frustration get in the way of writing a good description.
  
  There are a few major fixes I need done for this website.
  
  1. Eventlist Component.
  This component is installed and is doing an OK job for me. Problem is, the language pack installed is traditional Chinese instead of simplified so it's of no use to me.
  Possible solution A: Develop a language pack for simplified Chinese with the help of my translators.
  Possible solution B: Make a custom component that is more suitable for my needs and can function with Joomfish or is just bilingual itself.
  Why do I need this component?
  I need to be able to schedule a full array of events like seminars, workshops and other related stuff. People need to be able to signup for these events by registering to the website itself as a free user and then for the event. I need to be able to see how many people have signed up for an event and I need to be able to see who as paid and who hasn't paid yet. This is currently working to a degree but the functionality is not very practical.
  
  2. Fix the signup process
  Currently when you try to register for an event you get sent to the standard signup form with no further explanation. This is confusing and misleading for the user. I need the apply button of a seminar to directly lead to a free user signup form.
  
  3. Resellers.
  Currently the site is setup to handle resellers to a degree. I can manually assign users to the reseller group. This is annoying and counter productive. I would like to have a signup form for resellers where they are automatically assigned a reseller ID and are put into the right user group.
  Furthermore, to track sales, people have to input the reseller code once manually to be assigned to a certain reseller. This is a bit of a problem because people are naturally lazy so I had to create an added incentive giving people coming from a reseller an added discount. This isn't mentioned in the eventlist component anywhere so people are oblivious to that fact. That needs to be fixed as well.
  
  The whole seminar listing and signup stuff is of the utmost importance because I can't really launch offline sales and marketing without a functional website.
  
  4. Instructions!
  I have not received any instructions about how I can configure and use any of these components and I don't even know what some of them do. That leaves me stranded and I can't continue filling the site with content as I have no idea where this content will go.
  The main problem here is that I don't know how to assign content to free members and how to assign content to paying members.
  
  5. Downloads section.
  Same problem as mentioned above. I don't really know how to use the rubberdoc component that was installed and I don't know how to assign the files or categories to user groups (free/paid/public). The downloads section is very important because it will host my metatrader 4 plugins as well as instructional videos and stuff. That needs to be fixed.
  
  6. Newsletter
  Same problem as above. I don't know how to use and configure it and how to create certain groups of people I want to send my newsletter to. This is vital to my promotion because I need to inform people about upcoming seminars and workshops and other events hosted by my company.
  
  That's all the important points I can think of right now. Like I said, I have lost the overview a bit because it's been a nightmare working with the previous development team. The problem was always that we needed a workaround for the workaround to make things function to at least 50% of my specs. Other than that, I just need a few minor fixes for the website, a few design changes and minor tweaks and adjustments. It's mostly problematic that signup forms and components look ugly and have unnecessary stuff attached to them. The site feels and looks broken.
  
  I don't think any of this is rocket science and I think it can be done fast.
