Project Description:
Hi there,
I urgently need a wireless communications expert that is experienced in CDMA and MAT lab software to work on this project. With understanding and appreciation of the theories and concepts of wireless data transmission using CDMA technology. The main objectives of the project are to identify and investigate the various detection techniques for complementary codes Based CDMA System Mat lab M-files simulations.
Requirements as follow below:
Part 1: Using Mat lab M-files to demonstrate the CDMA architecture based on complete complementary (CC) codes capability to achieved high bandwidth efficiency, low bit error rate (BER), high data rate and the other advantages when compared to the conventional CDMA systems that used traditional codes.
With the aid of basic CDMA model developed the following mat labs codes:
1. The basic CDMA system consists of transmitter where binary source data is spread and BPSK modulated. The modulated data when transmitted in the channel is subjected to AWGN and multipath fading effect (3 paths). The received signal is de-spread and BPSK demodulated to achieved the original source data
2. Conventional CDMA system using Walsh-Hadamard codes as signature.
3. Conventional CDMA system using Shift-Register M- sequences as signature.
4. Conventional CDMA system using Gold codes as signature.
5. Proposed future CDMA system using complete complementary (CC) codes as signature.
6. Compare 2, 3, 4 and 5 to identify the capability of the CC codes. Thus the transmitter, channel and receiver design must be constant. The only differences them would be only the signature.
Part 2: Investigations of various detection techniques for (CC) codes based CDMA system
The second part of the project is to evaluate the different detection\diversity techniques employed in the proposed complementary codes (CC) based CDMA system (similar to 5 in part 1). The diversity techniques are designed in the receiver to receive the transmitted BPSK signal that is disperse into energy among reflection paths.
Different diversity combining techniques will be investigated in the MATLAB receiver algorithm of the implemented CC code based CDMA system.
With the aid of basic CDMA model developed the following mat labs codes:
1. The basic CDMA system consists of transmitter where binary source data is spread and BPSK modulated. The modulated data when transmitted in the channel is subjected to AWGN and multipath fading effect (3 paths). The received signal is de-spread and BPSK demodulated to achieve the original source data.
1. Complementary codes (CC) based CDMA system where by Maximum ration combing technique is used to detect the receive signal.
2. Complementary codes (CC) based CDMA system where by Selection combing technique is used to receive signal.
3. Complementary codes (CC) based CDMA system where by Equal Ratio combing technique is used to detect the receive signal.
4. Complementary codes (CC) based CDMA system where by Recursive multipath signal reception filter is used to detect the received the signal.
5. Used 1, 2, 3 and 4 to analyze the signal reception in multipath channels whereby a comparison would be carried out between the received data bit stream and the transmit data bit stream in terms of bit error rate (BER). The expected outcome would be the diversity technique that produces the lowest BER rate would be the best technique to be the proposed detection techniques for complementary codes based Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system. Thus the transmitter, channel and cc code design must be must be constant. The only differences them would be only the receiver that employs the different detection techniques.
