Project Description:
We are looking to contract an individual that has software Architecture experience.PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
As a Web Software Architect, you will help define the architecture for Company*s Internal Ad Server project. You will be involved in the design and development of cutting edge Web applications, defining system architecture to achieve scalability and reliability goals, and research new technologies for our evolving Ad Server and business systems. The successful candidate will concentrate on understanding and communicating the technical capabilities and potential of the various software and hardware platforms used in Company solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Define system architecture to achieve scalability and reliability goals
-Research new technologies for the editorial and business systems
-Understand and communicate the technical capabilities and potential of the various software and hardware platforms used in Company solutions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related work experience
-3 + years of relevant industry experience
-1 + years in an architect role
Experience:
-3+ years Java based projects using Java, JSP and related technologies
-3+ years php or .net and connecting to mysql or sqlserver
-3+ years developing and deploying applications on Linux/Unix systems
-Hands on experience with databases, XML databases and publishing systems
-Hands on experience with using dynamic languages - Perl, PHP, Python in web-based applications
-Hands on experience with developing using 3rd party API's
-Experience with one or more Portal capabilities such as Security, Personalization, Internationalization, Categorization, Taxonomy, collaboration, and Publishing
Knowledge:
-Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming languages
-Thorough understanding of application development and methodologies
-Application and web servers such as Apache, Tomcat and NetKernel
Skills:
-XML-based content systems
-Web technologies, protocols, and tools
-Rich Internet Applications (RIA) frameworks
