Project Description:

Hello Freelancers,

We're looking for a solution to read QR Codes from a image file (png, gif, bmp) even better from a Webcam. We have found software and development kits to do this but our requirements are not quite met and we don't have the necessary programming skills to complete the job. This should be relatively simple for the appropriate programmer as the pieces of the puzzle exist but need to be built into an application.

Application:
We have to built a custom component that read the text embedded in the QR Code uses Windows WIA and com objects to take control of the local webcam/image file. (the component should also allow to customize the option on the camera and the qrcode params.


Deliverables:
The component should be DLL or ACTIVEX to be connect to our application in VB6 and VB.NET.

Currently we have found Quickmark to be the closet to what we need. I'd recommend looking at this. InliteResearch provide a .Net, ASP or PHP SDK to implement their version. We haven't played with some of the others. Ideally we would prefer to use qrcode.sourceforge.jp as this has least licenses and open source so we can re-release the results of this.
