Need to design a FPGA Temperature monitoring system using VHDL. The target board used is a Spartan 3A starters development kit. Temperature sensor is a K-type thermocouple connected via the RS232 port. Refer Sensor circuit attached. Readings should be displayed in the onboard LCD of the target board.Skills required:

Currently i am having the hardware part for the thermocouple sensor to RS232 connection. But it has not been tested. Anybody interested in the hardware development also for this project, pls contact asap. The full project will be the "development of a fpga monitoring system for a thermocouple sensor". (strictly to use VHDL and Spartan 3A starters kit). Hardware for connecting the K-type thermocouple to be designed. anybody interested in doing the full project pls leave a message.

I did this system, when I was in college, using the fpga is AFS600 (actel company's Fusion series), multiple temperature monitors, 1602 Series LCD display, 4 button control

Its just to read the temperature in binary or HEx form ?, Display the same reading on LED
