Output to parallel port from VBA Access

Project Description:
I need to send a signal (go high/5v) on the parallel port of the xp pc. I have a Access database built that we scan the boxes bar code) and print the label. I can put the code in Access and add a dll driver but I can't get the VBA code to work for me. I will add it to the proper events on the forms and button as needed if you get the code working.We are going to send the message to a basic stamp and it will advance the belt to the next box and we will start the process over. I would be happy to have some help us use a serial port and communicate data if it would be easier to complete the project.
