Ruby on Rails Site Migration to EC2

Project Description:
I am looking for a developer to move my blog community, soulcast.com, from a single dedicated server to Amazon's EC2 cloud hosting.Here is some basic background info:
- Soulcast.com is currently hosted at ThePlanet hosting on a dedicated server.
- The site is written in Ruby or Rails and uses MySQL.
So the project will just entail moving the code, site, and database to Amazon's EC2. The only other work that may have to be done is upgrade RoR to the latest version. If the site can be moved without upgrading to the lastest version of RoR, that is fine too.
Once the site is moved successfully, there will be an additional project to optimize the speed of the site through database optimization / more effective caching.
I'm not sure how much work/time is involved for this process. If you can do it easily for less than the min bid amount, please write out the bid.

Do you want to keep your database backend running MySQL, or would you consider moving to an architecture better supported by the EC2 environment? What level of availability are you expecting? Are you expecting your site traffic to grow considerably?

Do you want your app to moved to one EC2 instance (in effect, a virtual machine) or possibly a cluster of EC2 instances? If you want the latter, some changes to the app will probably need to be made, most websites and apps don't scale automagically.

Hi, site migrations is really easy. I suggest you use jruby, 99% of gems has supported by jruby. The big problems was the backup and transfer data.
