Project Description:
Hi, this request is for interactive coding work on one page only, I will supply all design and optimised image files.
I require a slick, but simple navigation front end using image buttons and some animated bubbles for a HTML website. There will be a floating CSS layer of sub-navigation image bubbles for just 5 of the main buttons. These will need to ‘fade in’ and ‘gently hover’ like small clouds so you will generally require Javascript skills and jQuery or other open framework. BUT NO ADOBE FLASH please!
On clicking each bubble there will be an iFrame popup using fancybox or similar.
Please see my finished visuals attached to this job, and then read detailed job description below:
1) Home page
2) When you scroll over 5 of the main 8 buttons they will individually light up and a transclucent black layer will apply a mask over everything - except the logo and selected button and button title.
I want this (full screen) black layer to fade in from 0% to 50% in about two seconds.
Additional navigation ‘bubbles’ will instantly fade/fly in to give a snappy feel of responsiveness. These bubbles will gently float independently to add visual appeal, but will not move more than about 5-10 pixels . Each bubble should have a random motion effect on it so it appears to hover around the button that was highlighted. Each bubble image will either need a roll-over effect applied or I will supply graphic variation.
4) If the mouse is clicked on the black area, or if it wanders onto the black area for 3 seconds, then the page will fade back to step 1) and bubbles float away.
Or, if a bubble is clicked then a CSS window appears on top with content pulled into an iFrame. I will add the content to the iFrames myself - i just need a close button that will close the window and return you to the bubbles or allow you to go back to the home page when the bubbles fade away.
5) The remaining 3 buttons and text links at the top of the page and links to left do not need any animated submenus, so these link will simply open an iFrame with the 50% mask. Closing the iFrame will result in the black layer fading out returning you to step 1)
Source code tshould be flexible enough so that I can add more buttons, bubbles and text links in the future as necessary. If there are any major changes I’ll be sure to contact you again.
All of this I envisage working in one web page with no page loading required - apart from the iFrame content after a bubble is clicked. All subnavigation bubble images will need to be downloaded on page load so that they appear instantly on hover.
Each bubble will be transparent GIF. All button text is a Google font and needs to be hot linked - except for text on the bubbles which is an image.
Compatibility required:
Platforms: PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad
Browsers: IE, Firefox, Safari - all major versions and as much backwards compatibility and graceful degrading as possible please!
Download time: Not excessive.
I will supply the home page and optimised graphics. You will build the layers and interactive animation and scripting. You may keep full copyright credit in source code.
I am looking for fast turnaround on this project on a budget, so please be honest with the development time and show me good examples of similar work you have done.
thanks
Damon.
NOTE: I require the navigation to be slick, responsive, fun, intuitive and really well polished
(eg: not sluggish, uncontrollable, buggy, irritating, akward or clunky!)
p.s. NO FLASH!
