Hello, I have quoted $250 because the system forced me to. However,I prefer to be paid in euros and for proofreading 330 words, my minimum charge is 15€. For future reference, the REAL rate for 330 words is 10€ - use this figure to calculate future larger volumes. If you are a private individual, I must ask for full payment in advance for the first job only. Normally, my terms are payment 30 days month end. An Englishwoman but a French resident since 1996, I have been teaching business English for 12 years, including proofreading clients’ texts (websites, brochures etc). As a French to English translator I specialise in proofreading non-native texts, not just by French native speakers. Recent jobs include a 30,000-word art thesis, a 10,000-word marketing review, and a 15,000-word manual about Abu Dhabi hygiene regulations. I know nothing about gaming sites (although my son is a games developer) but as a regular quality evaluator for a Polish agency, and as leader of a jobseekers’ CV workshop, I proofread every type of text.
