Project Description:
Hi
I am re-submitting this job after feedback from previous posting.
I need some programming help for a project I'm working on.
I have a Master Item excel file which contains a 11,000+ (and growing) list of product descriptions, category defintions and tax information of individual products. Each of these products has a unique code.
I also have a number of excel files from different companies which are all formatted in a smilar way, which also list their product descriptions (some also have product codes but some do not). Depending on which company file is used, their descriptions can be slightly different but importantly, they have additional pricing information.
I need a solution which sits between the Master Item file and the individual companies file but then merges the two lists together. It will then output a .csv file.
This solution will also do the following.....
1. The Master Item File has the correct product description, category definitions and tax information for each individual file. It will also be able to be updated with the latest pricing information.
2. Ability to 'remember' codes i.e. once previous code have been input, if uploaded again it will accept that product and its pricing automatically
3. Allow the Master Item File to be updated with new products/codes.
4. Allow information to be written directly into the solution, rather than using an input file, and then outputting in the correct format.
5. Identify new products which require correct descriptions and definitions during the upload process.
6. Some input files have product codes, but some do not, however the descriptions will remain the same overtime. Must have ability to deal with those items which do not have a code.
7. Some inputs have tax included in the price but some do not. Must have the ability to add or take off the tax depending on the input.
8. Some inputs have different number of 'items' compared to the Master Item File. Must have ability to input new number of items into the output.
9. The solution must be flexible enough to be able to be 'taught' to deal with changes in format, codes, descriptions or new format files.
Please only apply if you have existing reviews. I can give more information if requested and I am also open to additional suggestions for greater efficiency.
Thanks
