Here it is: Nursing is not an easy course to take, it is not the cheapest major to study either, but why is it that there are still many nursing students all over the world. I'll tell you why, not all this students wants to be a nurse, yes they are in nursing school and yes they are doing well, but some or it could be that most of this students were just told by their parents or whoever it is that pays for their schooling to take up nursing, and some of this students are taking up nursing as a pre-med. course. Believe it or not, some of these students are even forced to take the course. With that you now may ask. Why do parents force their kids to take up a course that they don't want? I cannot tell you exactly how those parents think, but i can tell you how mine does. My parents had me take the nursing course because of the fact that during the time I was entering college nursing was in demand in so many countries, my mom is a nurse and she wants me to follow her footsteps and the best of all, they want me to have a good life in the future. When that last reason is stated, who would want to argue with that? All my life I’ve always dreamt of becoming a lawyer, only to find out that the dream I had would just remain to be a dream. Even if I wanted a different path, still I chose to follow my parents’ decision, for reasons that other kids my age wouldn't understand. First, they are the one paying for my tuition, second, they only want what's best for me, and lastly, I did not exactly have a choice. This may sound funny and crazy, but I turned out to be good in my clinical duties. I may not have been the best student in class, but I never failed a single subject. Maybe it was because of the fear of failure that I have ever since I was a child, or maybe because I did not want to disappoint the people around me who expect so much of me. Either ways, I did not fail my course, i did not fail my self and I did not disappoint my family.
