Project Description:

We have 93 hours of interviews in Nepali and English. The interviews are conducted through an interpreter, so questions are first asked in English, then repeated in Nepali. The answers are mostly in Nepali, but occasionally in English. A simultaneous interpreter then summarizes the Nepali answer in English.

The recording quality varies from mediocre to excellent. No technical or complex language is used.

All Nepali portions should be transcribed in NEPALI, and all English portions should be transcribed in ENGLISH. After transcription, the Nepali portions should be translated into English.

Please note that we want both transcription in Nepali AND translation from Nepali into English. (Approximately 40% of the interview time is in Nepali and must be translated.)
