Project Description:
Hi,
My established Joomla 1.0.15 site with around 4000 pages has had performance issues since moving to its current Linux/CentOS VPS in November. These issues are now critical and the site has started to exhibit strange behaviour. Every link takes you to the Google sitemap page generated by 3rd party component Xmap - assuming you can access the site in the first place.
I tried doing a VPS restore from an auto backup made earlier today but that reported failed (although it got the site back running - sort of). However, kmemsize is now hitting the server limits according to Virtuozzo Power Panel where before it was nowhere near.
I am way out of my depth here. This site is my only source of income, I am chronically ill with CFS and complications, and also have an essay due on Friday for my bachelor's degree!
I need someone I can trust to fix the site and the server as fast as possible. Someone with a lot of experience with both Joomla! and Linux servers. The server is running Plesk/Virtuozzo 8/9 (not sure) on CentOS 5. I may ask my host to upgrade me to a dedicated server so the job may extend to a site migration as well.
The site is http://www.ei-resource.org - If you are unable to access it let me know and I will restart the server so you can (seems to work for a while).
Thanks in advance,
Matthew
