going directly to business :)

what we want basically is a software accessible via web that will present users info from the database according to their search options and record their response to the db
-SECURITY is the essence followed by reliability and speed ( all security protocols will be implemented )
-any hardware we can provide with out a problem

the hardware architecture will be 2 identical app.servers 1 primary 1 off site mirror the db will be on a different server with 1onsite 1 of-site mirror. each app.server will be clustered for high performance the number will be decided after knowing what the software requires or we can just use a VERY powerful server instead of clustering.

software spec in detail:
- it will have a nice and simple design not just standart grey boxes
- we will provide the simple layout of what page contains what
-the login will require 3 inputs accountid-username-pass (passwords will be stored encrypted not hashed)
-after login the user will be sent to the corresponding page according to his/her rights
each account will have an admin which can manage its users(create/edit/change pass) and see what they have done
-there will be 4 main tables (tables can be moved to different servers for performance)
A) will have the most columns info maks 7million rows
B) will have less columns but more rows than A
C) will have the additional info and will be linked directly to B's primary key(no record will be deleted only will be marked as deactive)
D) will have almost same number as columns as A but maks row will be smaller than A about 3-4million
note: their will be more tables but the biggest one will be users table and total will be about 10 tables

-when and if a user is editing (not viewing) a record that record wont be editable
-if a user logsout or time outs the record will be editable automatically
-users will search from A or B or D database but at the result page all relevant info will be gathered from the other dbs
-after a search was made the results will be shown like
seach using a= result from A will be on screen with detail, result from B,C,D, will be shown under the main result with links or expandable clicks if any of the records have an alert the page will notify the user accordingly with the numbers of alerts
-basic stuff like like creator id, updater, last update, alert disabler id, etc will be recorded to the db
-we might use an email/sms notifier or data base C updates which will work like
when a record is inserted the system will get the contact info from table A and send email sms
-note: every action on the application will be recorded

we are capable of writing such code but we are not professionals on java, we are in the progress of coding and the software will be ready in 2moths tops. we are looking for people who can help us improve our system as i mentioned SECURITY and RELIABILITY are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to us. what we want if we get this projected confirmed, a partner who will upgrade our system by restarting from scratch or just upgrading our source code.
