I currently have a website (www.thewhiskyreview.com) and I want PC software creating so that users can enter whisky reviews offline and sync the data later when connected to the inernet.The program should:
Allow users to enter new entries onto the app (off-line) for whisky reviews
Allow syncing of user reviews with the online database
Enable different views (sorting) of data so that it can be used to manage curent inventory
The program can be set to manually or automatically sync data
Skills required:
C# Programming, C++ Programming, Java, PHP, Software ArchitecturePublic Clarification Board

Hiya - I'm interested in doing this for you, but before I put a bid down I'd like to ask a few questions first:
a) besides the body of the review, what else does the user provide (username, for example)?
b) does the app need to check/record user credentials (username/password) before doing anything, or does the site not have any login data like that?
c) what fields in the database NEED to be populated when reviews are being synched?
d) would it possible to get a copy of the database to work with during development/testing?
e) What platform is this thing being made for? Windows?
f) Is there a limit to the number of characters a user can type in when writing a review (please say yes)?
g) "Enable different sorting of data so it can be used to manage current inventory". Please explain this.
