Project Description:

Fixing existing reports which are designed in Access VBA. These reports read different data(log files) from many servers and store the data in the access database and for some in oracle. schedules job are run on the server where the access database resides and these output excel file reports based on the schedule. I need someone who can work with me New york time ( 9-5) for about 2 - 3 weeks to get the broken or neccesary reports fixed. Mode of working will be through internet(webex) which i can provide.I can be available on the weekend too. Bidders have to work with me. I can explain in more detail when contacted.

    This sounds like it’s right up my alley. For one thing I’m located in Hudson, NY so that makes the time zone a non issue. Excel is my favorite tool. I’ve been writing scripts in Excel for about 20 years (even before it used VBA for scripting). I have also created several Access databases, about half are front ends for SQL databases. Although I prefer ADO I have also done a lot of DAO for remote data access. Most recently I’ve done a project with ADO.Net, which I learned doesn’t resemble ADO in the least! You’ve got to love Microsoft. I do a lot of Water and Waste Water automation work and in the past used Excel with VBA scripting to generate daily, weekly monthly and yearly reports. More recently I have shifted to Crystal for reporting, which has a structure similar to reports in Access but with a lot nicer tools. Unless you have a lot of scripts and / or reports that are broken, three weeks seems like a lot of time to do the work. I also have some experience with Webex so working with you through that is not a problem. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
