Project Description:
I am looking for a GIS Expert who can write a stored procedure in PostgresSQL for me. Previous work experience in this field is a MUST.
The problem statement is as follows:
1. A Path consists of multiple points (lat/lon) which will be defined in the DB.
2. I will receive real-time feeds of moving objects on that path in lat/lon (no direction).
3. Need to calculate the average speed on a particular point on the path.
4. Movement of objects can be bi-directional or uni-directional.
I want you to create the required SQL Schema and write a stored procedure which can give the average speed of a particular point on a particular path. It must take care of scenarios where there is an intersection of path, etc. Performance is a very important factor as we can expect millions of records in the DB.
