Name of App – SkyFlick, to be confirmed

Our business is a group of Entrepreneurs who are looking for the next big thing in the gaming app industry, we have many ideas and we have chosen our favourite one to be designed and made, first of all into the Android market and then once approved to be then put into iTunes for iPhones and iPads.

Overview of the Game - Name of it is SkyFlick

The game is an addictive little slingshot-esque app in which a small bouncy ball is fired into the air by a rocket which easily fired by tapping the screen in any area. The object can be forced in any direct with a flick of the finger but the range of this is limited. The main aim of the game is to get as high as possible, this is done by flicking the object down onto ledges that will be placed on the screen and that will continue to appear as the ball travels up the screen, they will rebound the small ball higher and higher, the ledges can be flown through when going up. There will be a variation of levels if the game is really successful which we will pay the original programmer more to create some more areas and other different things in the game that will keep it interesting and fun for all audiences.

Its look - a cartoon soft edged style with bright vibrant colours. This is for all the game, including the platforms, enemies and main menu etc

Main Menu

The main title screen will have background consisting of a standard view of grass (a sixth of the screen) with bushes placed around it; the rest of the screen will have a blue sky with a few clouds floating. This background will then have over it the name of the game at the top which is -

And then two rectangular small boxes that have “Play” and “Options” on it. The options will consist of turning in game music off and sound music off.

The “Play” option will send it to the next screen which will be the main game and just for now there will be only one level so it will go straight to the main game screen

The little widget for the game should be the little ball just poking out of the cartoon cannon.

The Game

Platforms

There are 3 types of platform you can bounce on, they are all slightly angled though, some less than others.

• The Standard platform - this is coloured a light blue and will make the ball bounce around 15m high which makes it able to pass on the next few platforms distanced randomly apart

• The Super Platform – this platform triples the normal jump which happens and the will be a shiny red colour that glistens.

• The Rubbish Platform – this platform is makes the ball jump only 5m which is just enough for the ball to travel to the next platform up or the platform next to it.

How you die/fail

The ball cannot drop below the screen when in the air, if this happens the game will end; this is also shown in Doodlejump.

Background and Added Extras

-The back ground for the whole map will be the sky and grass background which the main menu has and then once the ball has passed 200m it will go have a few moving clouds that will slightly cover a few of the platforms therefore increasing the difficulty. Birds will also appear at this stage and fly from side to side <see enemies>.

-The screen will be like Doodlejump where if the ball goes of one side it will continue onto the other side.

-Once passed around 1000m the screen will start to go darker, (birds don't appear after this stage) this will show the object is now in the atmosphere of the earth. The new things that are hard to get past now are Satellites that again float across the screen <see enemies>. Once past 1500m there would be aliens.

Enemies

If the ball hits these objects the object will fall straight down and if it doesn't land on a platform the game will end, the game will end like in Doodlejump when the ball passes the bottom of the screen.

Birds – Seagulls floating across the screen from one side to the other

Floating Satellites – Same as Birds

Aliens - Stop halfway across screen for a second then continue.

Power Ups

These will be placed randomly around on the map; these powers up will always help you.

-Rocket Boost, this will enable the ball to fly up high around 150m at a time. This will appear as a small floating circle the same size as the ball. It will be a blue border with a yellow inner in which a small animation of a rocket is.

-Super Platforms, this turns all platforms to the Super state for around 10 seconds.

-Invincibility, this a temporary state in which the ball gains invincibility to all of the enemies for around 10 seconds. This will usually be placed before an enemy, they appear 1 in 5 times before the ball meets an enemy.

Sounds

Once the fun game is made we will need a repetitive, catchy tune in the background. Also for now use standard sounds for objects like the birds etc and each bounce on the platforms. More info will be given when the game is nearer completion.

This is an alpha version of the game so changes will need to be made. So the maker of this will have to continue to alter and change the game with no extra payment. If it’s successful we will pay for added content after a certain time of it being released.

We will need to continually see your progress so we can make any changes we need to and give feedback.
