THIS PROJECT HAS A TIGHT TIME FRAME AND NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY MARCH 1, 2013.
We need a mobile app (specifically an iPad app for this project) developed that can scan barcodes/QR codes for event registration and session attendance.
The app would scan a meeting or conference attendee's barcode or QR Code from their badge, and "check in" the attendee to the meeting. Throughout the meeting, attendees would be checked in to the sessions they attend using the app, capturing the meeting, session, date, and time information for that attendee's check in. The attendee, meeting, and session information would be obtained from our meeting database, and check-in information would be collected and transferred back to the meeting database in real time as Internet connections are available. We'll need an "attendee search" function in cases where the bar code cannot be scanned correctly, where the app will search the downloaded list of registrants to find the attendee.
We'd like to use a scanning solution that is both Android and iOS compatible, as this app will be ported to the Android platform shortly after completion of this project. The closest thing we've found is from Zebra Crossing (links below), but we'll entertain other recommended solutions, particularly if you have had experience in implementing one that will shorten the development time. The immediate need is to be able to scan Code 39 barcodes.
The attached mockup with notes will provide additional detail.
To ensure that you have read through the project description above and to save ourselves from having to weed through "spam" responses, your response must include a reference to one of the following terms or it will not be considered: Event Registration, Scanning, Barcode, QR Code, Zebra Crossing
