(i) The app will contain two levels of menus, the main menu and sub-menu. Each item on the sub-menu will bring to their own informational page, with text and a picture. A user can also see all the pictures related to that sub-menu item.
(ii) The app will also contain a database of pictures (about 100). (Optional) It can either be downloadable through update from a central server, or access from the server every time to save space.
(iii) Each picture page will contain some simple user interfaces for displaying some summary information. There will be some basic navigation interface such as 'next', 'previous', 'back', 'home', etc on this page.
(iv) The app will also contain a list of favorable pictures. The list is editable, i.e. user can save and delete their favorites. When a user touch an item on the list, it will show the picture, same as (iii).
(v) The app will also contain a quiz (choice of fill in the blanks and multiple choices). There will be an option menu. The app will then show a random picture with a question and an area for giving the answer. User can see their scores of the current quiz, average scores. They can also clear the score upon confirmation.
(vi) Preferably the app is universal for iOS and will work on both Portrait and Landscape mode. Pictures and information pages will be provided. The successful develop is expected to provide specifications such as resolution and size, etc. Interface will also be provided, but suggestions from the developer are welcomed.
(vii) The developer is also welcomed to provide a quote for developing an Android app for phone and tablet as well.
(viii) This project is a proof of concept phase though the project is considered complete when it is accepted on App Store (and Google Play when applicable).
iOS 5 (main), and expecting to be a straight forward iOS 6 compatible (since it is basically a simple informational app). It should also be backward compatible. It should also work on both Retina Display and normal resolution.
