I need a 3D wingsuit flight dynamics simulation and control system for a mobile game using the Unity 3D game engine. The game is at proof-of-concept stage and my objective is to get a basic working version to test for "fun-ness" factor. It is important that the basic feel of the controls be in the vicinity of 85-90% of what the final game will have.
Needs to be realistic but favour ease of use and fun over extreme realism
Ground effect needs to be simulated (ie turbulence and updraft when player gets near to the ground)
Implement tilt controls for mobile and keyboard controls for testing within unity
Simple ground collision detection
Basic heads up display showing speed, altitude, glide ratio
Basic sounds influenced by airspeed and closeness to ground
Research the relevant flight dynamics and maths involved
Implement a playable setup using supplied scene file which contains basic terrain (scene scale can be modified)
Code must be in C#
Comment all code in English
Expose any variables that are useful for tweaking gameplay
What is not required:
Any 3D modelling beyond basic shapes that may be needed to implement dynamics
At this stage the game will be a first person POV based game and not require a character model or chase cam. If this needs to be added I consider that an extra expense that we can negotiate.
