We are looking for an iOS developer to develop a card game application on the iPhone (all versions). The application shall display correctly for all screen sizes of the iPhone (not distorted, stretched or blurry), including retina displays and the larger iPhone 5 screen. The developer will NOT be responsible for the design or layout of the application. Any images that are needed, including the different background screen sizes, shall be requested by the developer and we will work with our designer to provide the images.
The idea for this application is a quiz for blackjack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackjack). The application user will be presented with a game scenario and will be asked to answer a Yes or No question. The scenarios (questions, answers, etc) shall be stored in a database within the application, which we will provide. The database model will also be provided.
This is our second application we are working on, but it is the first time we will be using a freelance developer. We want to eventually develop a suite of applications so we hope this project here will lead to a long term partnership.
RESPONSE: Please include the following information:
-Number of hours you can work per week on this project starting in October 2013
-Link to portfolio and/or previous projects (up to 3 max). Experience with card games is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS (not limited to):

-Understanding of design principles, information design, typography, color, imagery and iconography is a plus
-Ability to work with constructive criticism as well as adhere to deadlines. We are also open to constructive criticism as well to help you out as much as possible. This is a partnership so feedback will be provided both ways to make the process more efficient.
We will select a group of individuals based on the responses and then ask for a demo of the applicant’s most related app in their portfolio. We will use the demo to gauge experience and compatibility.
