Project Description:
I propose to create a functional social networking app that would allow its users to have direct access to U.S. politician's tweets, Facebook statuses, blog posts and other activities - all on a single screen. The app will also feature a direct channel to respond to the activity on their feed via configured email, Twitter, or Facebook accounts. The app would be similar to Tweetdeck, except it would pull activity from multiple social networking sights (facebook and twitter) that the user is already connected to.
Overall, the app is nothing more than one large RSS feed. At the moment, I simply need it to function. Navigation, appearance, and interface will come later.

A description of the user interface (for both landscape and portrait modes): 3 categories on a slim vertical margin flushed left, listed from top to bottom (in bold, clean font): "THEM," "YOU," and in the third box, a gear symbol to represent account settings. The THEM category would show feeds from various U.S. politicians and PAC's that the user chooses to follow. The YOU category shows feeds from the user's facebook and twitter accounts. Under settings, the user should be able to configure their Facebook account, Twitter account, and e-mail, as well as make any changes to who they wish to follow.
In summary, the app should be very clean, with minimal navigation and buttons needed.
