Project Description:
As an avid basketball player I am sick of driving 30 minutes to the gym or park only to find that there is nobody there playing basketball. Calling the gym is hassle and often the information is delayed. Calling the park is not a real option.; Therefore, I was looking at building an app that would allow players to post (perhaps leveraging twitter or facebook posts) whether or not there was a pick-up basketball game going on at a particular venue. For example, I could imagine the app having the following fields: Date/Time, Gym/Park Name, Location, # of Players, Type of Game (1on1, 3on3, full court, game of 21). The app needs to be updated as close to real-time as possible.
