Project Description:
I am looking to get an iPhone Application developed with the following criteria:- There is a website that the iPhone application needs to work in accordance with. That website has a database which works on Java/J2EE framework. The website allows you to browse through categories as well as the products that are contained within each category.
- Each product has 5-7 different fields corresponding with it that contains some information on the product.
- For example:
Product: Pencil
Brand: Mongol
Color: Yellow
Category: Wooden Pencils
Description: Blah blah blah blah.
Date: [last time product info was updated]
- The main purpose of the iPhone application will be to allow the user to be able to search through the categories and their products. When they click on the product, it will open the information of the product (brand, category, description, date, etc.).
- The website database is updated very frequently (almost everyday). So everytime the website database is updated, the products/categories in the iPhone application should sync along with it.
- Please provide how much you would charge for the Design work as well (state it separately).
- Need to make sure everything is 100% secure/encrypted.

if you need the same thing done on Android, contact me :) I did something practically similar about 2 months ago but on android. What I did had to deal with creating a stateful web application using JBoss seam (seam is built on top of java EE) and then from the android phone, pulled information from the database using restful interfaces. The web application kept track of product and service offerings and these entities had product type and service type hierarchies and so on. I guess the similarity should be clear. :)
