You will notice that I have bid 30 days. This is because there is no way you can achieve all you want in just one or two days. In fact you will want more than the 30 days I have bid if you want to be successful. You have taken on a massive project but it can be done if you are careful and success in this field is like nothing you can imagine. Yes, you can get started straight away and I would love to be there with you. I have started three fully fledged weekly newspapers from nothing along with a monthly tourist magazine. I had unbelievable competition from the established media and their efforts to stop me has been written in a book called 'Off the record - The Western Herald Story'. I am 70 years old now and retired, What was Rural Press, Conrad Black's company, in 2002 purchased the Western Herald and it's sister papers off me for $130,000 as I became very ill. Not a bad price for something that was started from nothing, yes,zilch, nix, nothing! I know all the pitfalls that are out there and where you can go wrong. I have been there and I have fallen into many of them. My experience started with the old lead slug flat top press productions to the modern day full page pagenation. In fact we were the first newspaper in Tasmania to get a full page completed on a computer to be completely press ready for printing. We were also the first newspaper to send the entire 16 page paper through to the printer via email. A thing totally unheard of in 1998. It took us nearly 4 hours! but it got there photo's and all. I could go on all day. I love the industry and I wish you well no matter who you choose to help you. But whatever happens don't be put off, hang in there and you most definitely will succeed.
