Project Description:

I would like a website to showcase my photography.

I would like it to look like http://www.jeremycowart.com/. I DO NOT want it created in flash, I want the slide shows and animations done in javascript.

I would like the website to automatically read the directory structure to create categories. For example, a directory structure like:

portfolio/sports
portfolio/landscapes

will create a category for sports and landscapes. Then if I add a new directory later:

portfolio/portraits

I want this category to be created automatically.

I also want a section called gallery which will be a private gallery. This is to share with clients and friends. Similarly I want to create a directory structure like:

gallery/public/europe
gallery/private/smithwedding

Anything under public should appear on a global gallery site, with a global password. Under the private directory, each sub directory should have a separate password. For example:

gallery/private/smithwedding/passwordfile

I want someone with some design background since the site is a photography website so needs to looked polished. If you need to use a dynamic language other than javascript, please let me know what language you plan to use.

Please provide detailed plan of how you will implement the site. I am getting a lot of bids that simply look like a cut and paste that you send to every project. These people will not be considered. Please prove that you have read the specification and understand the requirements.

I think I have been very specific with what I need. There is little point sending me 20 example sites that you have made seeing I have practically said I want a copy of the site I have mentioned. Provide only 1 or 2 samples of your work.

A lot of of bidders are saying that it is not possible to provide the required functionality in javascript.

Please look at photos.google.com, in particular their slide show functionality.

NB. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE REASONABLE PROOF THAT YOU HAVE STUDIED THE EXAMPLE WEBSITE GIVEN AND PROVIDE A DESIGN PLAN YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

In order to prove that you have studied the example website, please tell me which back end language was used for the site. This information is available on the site.
