Hello GAF-Developers,

An Excel 2002 application is provided that is based on an .mdb-file.
Parts of it should be ported to php/mysql.
In a first version a command line php script should print out the same events for a given stock as seen in screenshot1.

A mysql 4.1 database with stock information and quotes already exists.

All indicators as they are shown in screenshot2 should be ported to php.

1) When the php script is executed with a specific stock symbol (ISIN, Yahoo symbol or WKN) it should connect to the db.

2) In the existing database (mysql) I already have all three symbols. The script resolves the symbol parameter to the stock id and selects quotes for a specific period beginning with the date of current day.
(I have quotes for the last 2 years which is enough. The structure of the tables can be seen in the stockdb-screenshot).

3) Now it should run through all the indicators and generate an output like in screenshot1.

The algorithms are already exisiting in Visual Basic for Applications, in the modules "Calculus" and "Cerebro" (screenshot3).

4) The output should be stored again in the database. It will be like an eventlog for each stock with
<datetime> <event> <frequency of this event (counter)> <day of week (example: monday)>

Outlook: At a later date the visual part of the excel could be ported to a php webfrontend. This would be a second project.
For this the same indicator algorithms will be used. So it is recommended to already think about this now. (i.e. a library (include file) could be developed to seperate indicators from the php command line script).
